Brandin Cooks is a pissed WR.
The 2022 NFL trade deadline is over, the and veteran wide receiver is still a member of the Houston Texans. He appears to be very upset about that.
Cooks took to Twitter to express his displeasure and seemingly threatened the team.
“Don’t take a man’s kindness for granted. Covered for the lies for too long those days are done. Crossed the line with playing with my career,” Cooks wrote on Twitter after his team failed to trade him.
Cooks’ name was a hot commodity for days, yet nothing materialized and we likely will never know why a deal couldn’t be found. The Texans held practice Tuesday afternoon ahead of their Week 9 contest against the 7-0 Philadelphia Eagles, and Cooks was not in attendance.
Many thought that was a sign that he was gone, but alas, he still remains in Houston. The team couldn’t find a suitable trade partner due to Cooks’ two-year, $39.7M contract extension through 2024.
