Brandin Cooks clearly wants a change of scenery.
The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver took to Twitter on Friday and stated he wanted the franchise to “free me.”
It was just last week when Ian Rapoport of NFL Network stated that the franchise were getting calls about cooks, but noted they were not making them.
“The Rams didn’t call people on Brandin Cooks but they certainly did receive calls,” Rapoport said on NFL Network Thursday.
Rich Hammond of The Athletic echoed the same thing, saying the Rams “haven’t been openly shopping him.”

Cooks’ $8 million base salary in 2020 became fully guaranteed last Friday, so the team would have to be blown away by compensation, considering they’d eat $17.8 million in dead cap by trading him.
Cooks caught 42 passes for 583 yards and two touchdowns during the 2019 season.
