The question going into Super Bowl LIII after the New England Patriots defeated the Kansas City Chiefs was whether Patriots fans had finally grown tired of winning.
The fan base answered that question when they outnumbered Rams fans in Atlanta with ease, but they would save their best showing for last.
On Tuesday, the Patriots held their celebration parade for winning the 6th Super Bowl title in franhchise history, and it seemed like the entire state of Massachusetts showed up and showed out.
Boston Police Commissioner William Gross said Monday that he expected more than 1 million people to watch the parade. He was close to being correct. There was a record number of 1.5 million Patriots fans that showed up for the parade.
Sgt. Detective John Boyle said it was the “largest crowd Boston has seen at a parade.”
