For the fans that will tune into the Cardinals-Rams Week 17 game on Sunday, you won’t be hearing Tony Romo call the game this week for CBS.
The network has announced that Romo will be replaced by Boomer Esiason on the call due to COVID protocols.
Romo has been a certified star color commentator since joining the network in 2017.
It remains unknown if Romo is being held out because he tested positive for COVID-19 or he has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.
