Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Blake Martinez has made millions of dollars in his career, but has a very rare Pokémon card that could fetch him some nice pocket cash as well.
TMZ posted a video of Martinez meeting with two Pawn Stars cast members, Rick Harrison and “Chumlee”, at their world-famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, which is located in Las Vegas.
Per TMZ, the card is an extremely rare “Pokémon Illustrator”. Apparently, only four of them were ever made. According to TMZ, one expert stated that the card could net Martinez more than $1 million.
The 1998 Pokémon Illustrator card is graded at a “gem mint” condition of 9.5. Martinez is currently selling it at Goldin Auctions. As of 9:45 p.m. EST Saturday, the latest bid was a whopping $510,000.
This isn’t the first time where a Vegas-based professional athlete met with the Pawn Stars. In an episode of season 15, then-Vegas Golden Knights goalie Marc-André Fleury made a special appearance to authenticate a game-worn jersey that he signed.
Fleury was the first player drafted by the Golden Knights in the 2017 Expansion Draft.

Fleury confirmed that it was indeed his jersey, and Harrison wound up buying it from the seller for $1,700. Chumlee even dressed as a goalie and faced some shots, receiving some kind words of encouragement from Fleury.
Martinez has appeared in two games for the Raiders this season, recording five tackles. He debuted for the team in Week 5 against the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs, a 30-29 Raiders loss.
According to Spotrac, Martinez has netted just over $29 million in career earnings. He’s about to cash in nicely on the ultra-rare Pokémon Illustrator card.
