The Buffalo Patriots game this Sunday is going to be full of emotion from both teams. The Bills will be fully charged and ready to take the field in honor of their teammate, Damar Hamlin. And while a win for the Patriots would be the easiest way for them to reach the playoffs, they can still get in if the Dolphins lose to the Jets, the Steelers lose to the Browns and the Jaguars beat the Titans. Let’s dive into the Patriots Injury Report Week 18.
Buffalo Bills Injury Report Week 18
For the most part, the Bills have a clean injury report for Week 18. And after the rollercoaster of emotions that this last week has put them through, they deserve it. Every player, excluding those on their regularly scheduled vet rest day and those on IR, was a full participant in their final practice.
Damar Hamlin Update
Damar Hamlin’s breathing tube was removed on Friday morning, a HUGE improvement from being medically sedated just a few days prior. It is reported that he continues to progress and was able to facetime his teammates, which will surely light a fire under them to honor him this Sunday at home against the Pats.
Taron Johnson Injury Update
Cornerback Taron Johnson suffered a head injury in the first minute of last week’s short game against Cincinnati. He has since cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play on Sunday.
Josh Allen Injury Update
Josh Allen has been playing through a few injuries this season, and nothing will change that this week. He had his ankle rolled up on in his only offensive drive last week and has been battling an elbow injury for the better half of the season. He was a full participant in practice on Friday.

New England Patriots Injury Report Week 18
New England is also looking pretty healthy for this (pretty much) must-win matchup against the Bills, with only five players listed as questionable. They had perfect attendance for Friday’s practice and are sure to play every possible player that they can in order to clinch a spot in the AFC playoffs.
Marcus Jones Update
Marcus Jones suffered a head injury on Christmas Eve against Cincinnati and was kept out of last weeks game. He was removed from the Patriot’s injury report and put in a full practice on Friday. Jones is a jack of all trades for the Pats, returning kicks, playing corner, and serving as an occasional receiver on offense, so having him back up and healthy will definitely aid New England.
DeVante Parker Update
DeVante Parker missed the last three games in order to recover from a concussion he suffered in Week 14. He hasn’t made a huge impact on offense this season but shows a lot of potential.
Jakobi Meyers Injury Update
Jakobi Meyers is still listed as questionable for Sunday, but there is a good chance that he will play. He fell awkwardly on his shoulder in last week’s win over the Dolphins but was able to practice with the Pats all week. He is the Patriot’s top wide receiver, and with the playoffs on the line, it would be surprising if he didn’t play.
Jonnu Smith Update
Jonnu Smith is still listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. He was able to practice in a limited fashion on Thursday and Friday. If he is able to play, he will likely be the number two TE option behind Hunter Henry.
Patriots Players Listed As Limited in Friday’s Practice
- Jonathan Jones – Cornerback – Chest
- Jakobi Meyers – Wide Receiver – Shoulder
- Jalen Mills – Cornerback – Groin
- Brenden Schooler – Defensive Back – Hip
- Jonnu Smith – Tight End – Concussion
The Patriots will have to play at Highmark Stadium with a crowd that will be full of emotion and excitement after last week’s devastating events. The Bills will be playing for their brother, Damar Hamlin, and the Patriots will be playing for a playoff spot. Both teams have their own motivation and it is sure to be a game filled with strong emotion and aggressive play calls.
