Just seconds after Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field from cardiac arrest on Monday, medical personnel swarmed onto the field in an immediate response that saved his life in the long run. One Bills team member in particular – assistant athletic trainer Denny Kellington – has been praised by head coach Sean McDermott for “saving Damar’s life.”
On Sunday, he was further praised by Josh Allen when he got a game ball from the QB after a touchdown was scored.
Hamlin was transported to the hospital, where he was sedated. By Thursday, he would awake and begin to start talking as the days continued.
On Sunday, he was said to be watching the Bills take on the Patriots from his hospital bed.
