The Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills have broken a new record for “NFL on CBS.” Sunday night’s game brought in more than 50 million viewers, breaking the record for the most-watched NFL divisional playoff game in the history of “NFL on CBS.”
According to CBS, the game was the most-watched program on any network since last year’s Super Bowl LVII.
We can credit a close game and Taylor Swift, but either way, the NFL is loving these numbers.
The previous mark was 48.52 million for a Packers-Cowboys Divisional Round game on FOX in 2017.
An average of 50.39 million viewers watched the Chiefs’ victory over the Bills, and the broadcast peaked at 56.25 million viewers. The Chiefs’ win peaked with 56.25 million viewers.

Chiefs-Bills delivered the largest audience of the NFL season as it surpassed the previous high of 41.76 million for Commanders-Cowboys on CBS Thanksgiving Day.
The AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and Ravens will be shown by CBS on Sunday while the NFC Championship game featuring the Lions and 49ers will be broadcast by Fox later that evening.
