Bill Simmons held nothing back with his comment about Tua, but social media let him have it.
The acquisition of Tyreek Hill and Cedrick Wilson made DeVante Parker expendable in Miami, so the team traded him to the New England Patriots on Saturday. Now the former first-round pick is headed to a division rival. Welcoming him to the team is none other than Bill Simmons.
As Simmons welcomed Parker to New England, he made sure to take a not-so-thinly veiled shot at Miami’s young QB.
“[DeVante Parker] welcome to New England!!!” Simmons tweeted. “Let’s take it slow as you get used to the startling experience of having your QB hit you in stride when you’re open.”
The 29-year-old Parker has two seasons and no guaranteed money remaining on a four-year, $30.5 million contract. The Dolphins selected Parker with the No. 14 pick of the 2015 draft.
The Dolphins traded for former Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowler Tyreek Hill and selected Jaylen Waddle in the first round of last year’s NFL draft. Waddle quickly emerged as Miami’s No. 1 receiver with 104 catches for 1,015 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie. Parker, meanwhile, tallied 40 catches for 515 yards and two touchdowns.

With the trade, the Dolphins will now have five picks in the first three rounds of next year’s draft — two firsts, one second and two thirds.
