Bill O’Brien just wants some time.
The Houston Texans head coach participated in a zoom press conference with different reporters on Thursday to talk about a number of things, mainly the trade of star WR DeAndre Hopkins.
He simply asked the fan base to be patient and evaluate this trade later on down the road.
“The best thing I can tell the fans is to please … I think we have to let it all play out!” the Houston head coach said Thursday. “Let it play out. Let the whole thing play out!”
As you know, O’Brien has been blasted for weeks since the trade went down, mainly because it came out of nowhere and the compensation he received back was just David Johnson (plus his terrible contract) and some other draft picks.
“I would say let’s review it a year from now,” O’Brien says. “Two years from now. Three years from now. Let’s let it all play out.”
Good luck with that.
