It looks like no one with the last name Belichick will have a job in the NFL in 2024.
New England Patriots linebackers coach Steve Belichick is looking to broaden his horizons as he is interviewing for a job elsewhere.
Belichick and Patriots running backs coach Vinnie Sunseri are interviewing for defensive jobs on Jedd Fisch’s staff at the University of Washington, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
“A pair of Patriots assistant coaches – OLB coach Steve Belichick and RB coach Vinnie Sunseri – are interviewing for defensive jobs on Jedd Fisch’s staff at University of Washington today,” Yates reported.
Belichick, who is the son of legendary former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, called the Pats’ defensive plays for the past four seasons.
Bill Belichick and the Patriots mutually agreed to part ways last month after 24 seasons and former Patriots linebacker and inside linebackers coach Jerod Mayo was promoted to head coach.

It was expected that Bill Belichick would bring Steve as well as Patriots safeties coach Brian Belichick, along with him upon landing another job, but the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach only interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons but did not get the job.
Now all head coaching jobs have been filled. It’s looking like Bill Belichick will be sitting out at least a year and there is no guarantee that he will be back in the next head coaching cycle.
