Bill Belichick did not appear to be pleased, nor relieved after coaching the New England Patriots to a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.
The Pats are now 3-10, finally getting past two wins for the season, and also managed to score north of 20 points in a game for only the third time in 2023.
The New England defense has actually been stifling as of late, having allowed just 26 points in their last three games leading up to the ‘Thursday Night Football’ fixture. And this time around, the offense helped out as they got 21 points on the board after scoring a meager 13 points over the aforementioned three-game span.
Still, Belichick did not have the look of a coach who just won a game when cameras caught him walking down the tunnel with a blank look on his face.
Why so serious? Some people on social media pointed to the fact that the win actually hurts the Patriots in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.

You would have struggled to find anyone who believed the Patriots would beat Pittsburgh this week, even without their starting quarterback. But Bill did not appear to be thrilled in the slightest.
It is understandable, though. When you’re used to winning like Bill is, there’s probably nothing to be happy about when you pick up a third victory in 13 games.
