The New England Patriots are 1-4 after getting blown out by the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. Fans are calling for quarterback Mac Jones to be benched. They’re also calling for head coach Bill Belichick to be fired.
The Pats failed to get a single point on the board in Sunday’s 34-0 loss at the Gillette Stadium and it’s now clear that they won’t be able to get the job done. That’s been the case since Tom Brady’s departure, and Belichick has been made to look very foolish as Brady left NE because of him and immediately won a Super Bowl.
Given what transpired today, fans were all saying the same thing, pointing out that he’s average without Brady, with some comparing him to Jeff Fischer.

It’s worth noting that Fischer has a better winning percentage than Belichick in the games he’s been without Brady.
Belichick will need to figure things out quickly or he might not get the opportunity to surpass Don Shula’s all-time wins record, at least not as the Patriots head coach. Whether he will be given time to find a fix for the sputtering offense is left to be seen – Robert Kraft might not be so patient.
