Bill Belichick is apologizing for being who he has always been and it just about shocked everybody.
The New England Patriots lost to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday as the Colts dominated the game throughout. Reporters knew that Belichick would be in a sour mood, especially when his team basically beat themselves with silly mistakes.
The head coach was beyond irritable and kept his answers brief on Saturday night.
In a shocking sequence of events, Belichick began his Monday morning press conference by apologizing to the media for how he acted.
“I apologize if it seemed like I was a little short with you after the game,” Belichick said, via Mike Reiss of ESPN. “Not really trying to be short, but honestly, there wasn’t too much to say. I don’t know that there’s a whole lot more to say now. But it’s not your fault. It was a frustrating game.”
