New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick might be coaching his final game with the franchise on Sunday.
While Brandon Staley, Frank Reich, and Josh McDaniels failed to make it through the year, other franchises are expected to cut ties with their head coaches on Monday, the first day after the regular season ends.
That is an ominous day in the league as it is referred to as Black Monday.
Black Monday commonly refers to the first Monday after the conclusion of the regular season as many coaches and general managers end up finding out they have lost their jobs.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss told Mike Greenberg on Get Up that Belichick is scheduled to meet with owner Robert and Jonathan Kraft on Monday.
“They’re going to be looking for some answers as to why things have fallen off so dramatically this season,” Reiss said Thursday morning. “Robert Kraft has been very disappointed with the way this season has unfolded.”

Reiss added that sources close to Robert Kraft say he’s “strongly” considering moving on from Belichick.
With their loss to the Buffalo Bills last week, the Patriots clinched the worst record of Bill Belichick’s coaching career. New England is 4-12.
If his career with the franchise is over, it ends with records of 31 playoff wins, six Super Bowls, 333 overall victories, and three Coach of the Year awards over 29 seasons.
Bill Belichick is one of the greatest head coaches in the history of the NFL.
