Perhaps the biggest news leading into week 15 of the NFL season was a report that the New England Patriots had already decided that they would be moving on from head coach Bill Belichick at the end of the season.
It was surprising news, considering Belichick brought the team six Super Bowl titles over the past quarter century. But his recent struggles have left Robert Kraft with a difficult decision that he apparently made following the team’s loss to the Colts in Germany back in week 10.
While there was still some speculation surrounding the report, it appears as though we now have confirmation on the Patriots & Belichick’s split, courtesy of The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. But that’s not all…
Russini has also revealed that the Patriots will not attempt to make a trade for current Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, as some have suspected in the past.
The Patriots are currently in the midst of another lost season, as they enter week 15 with a 3-10 record. At the moment, they are tied with the Arizona Cardinals with the second-worst record in the entire NFL, and they are also the only AFC team to be officially eliminated from the playoffs.

Despite all of this, Belichick will still attempt to rally his troops from a battle at home with the struggling Kansas City Chiefs.
