Where does Bill Belichick go from here after the Atlanta Falcons interviewed him twice and decided to hire someone else as head coach?
The Atlanta Falcons reaching an agreement with Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris to be their new head coach is notable for multiple reasons because it affects arguably the greatest NFL head coach of all time.
The Falcons opening was the only job former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick interviewed for, and he was considered by many to be the favorite.
Now what?
According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, legendary coach Bill Belichick is a longshot for head coach job openings for the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders.
“Bill Belichick is currently viewed as a long shot for the Commanders and Seahawks coaching vacancies, sources said. It’d take a change of direction for something to happen with either team.”

When the Patriots parted ways with him he had more options, but now things are starting to dwindle down and Belichick might find himself on the outside looking in.
The Commanders are one of two teams still looking for a new head coach, and for the first time ever, the job is actually attractive with new ownership.
The Seahawks are the other team yet to hire a new head coach, but it is unlikely they got rid of a 72-year-old just so they could bring in one that is one year younger.
Now the legendary head coach only has potentially two job opportunities left. If they do not work out, we could Belichick not in the league in 2024 and that is crazy to think about.
