New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick gave a typical Bill Belichick-like comment about his future with the organization on Sunday.
The Patriots’ dismal season ended with an ugly 17-3 loss at home to the New York Jets. New England finishes a disappointing 4-13, marking the franchise’s worst record since the 1992 club that went 2-14.
Per ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Belichick told reporters that he’ll speak with owner Robert Kraft about the future, noting that he would only answer questions about the game.
The Patriots have now gone five years without a postseason victory, and they’ve now suffered a losing season in three of the last four years.
We’ll likely find out in the coming days if Belichick is getting another year in Foxborough, or if Kraft is going to move on from the greatest head coach in NFL history.
