Bill Belichick is back being a bachelor but that is not necessarily a good thing.
According to Page Six, the New England Patriots head coach has been involved in a “drawn-out, back-and-forth breakup” with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday.
Belichick and Holliday have been together since 2007 after he and Debby Clarke divorced in 2006, but have been on shaky terms for the past year.
Patriots executives are said to be ‘on edge’ as they have concerns about things she may potentially post on social media.

“Complicating matters is that southern gal Holliday has got to be very fond of his New England haven Nantucket during their romance, and isn’t keen to leave the tight-knit island community just because she’s no longer with Belichick. We’re told she wants to stick around.
Meanwhile, it’s also a delicate situation for business reasons — not only does Holliday head his Bill Belichick Foundation but she also has something of a history of, er, oversharing on social media.”

Holliday still has Belichick in her Instagram profile picture but has not posted anything on her account in almost six months.
This is not the best time as this news comes days before the New England Patriots are set to kick off the 2023 season against the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Belichick is looking to get back to business. The team missed the playoffs two out of the last three seasons. New England finished 8-9 in 2022. There have been rumors that he is on the hot seat this season as the franchise has faltered since the departure of Tom Brady.
An under .500 record and bad play from quarterback Mac Jones could see Belichick lose more than just his girlfriend.
