New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick could be going into the 2023 NFL season with a heavy heart as he’s reportedly just gone through a breakup.
According to various outlets, including the Daily Mail and Page Six, Belichick and Linda Holliday have officially split after going through a rocky period spanning around a year. Bill and Linda were together for over 15 years, and the details of their breakup are getting publicized right before the start of the season.
The Patriots are reportedly concerned about the breakup given their fears over what Linda might share on social media as she does have a proclivity to go overboard when posting.
According to the Mail, Linda isn’t planning to leave town as she is very fond of Nantucket and isn’t looking to move out of the tight-knit community simply because she and Belichick are no longer together. Even more surprisingly, she has no plans to move out of his home.
“Meanwhile, it’s also a delicate situation for business reasons – not only does Holliday head his Bill Belichick Foundation but she also has something of a history of, er, oversharing on social media,” the report notes.

The Pats may have other concerns as the split could have an adverse effect on their head coach, though we imagine if there’s any HC in the league who could take a breakup on the chin, it’s Belichick.
The 71-year-old has displayed a stoic demeanor for as long as he’s been around, plus there’s always the chance of reconciliation given that they’re still living together.
