After being released by the Cleveland Browns, Odell Beckham Jr. hit the waiver wire and currently has no shortage of suitors pursuing him.
Nobody claimed him and now the star wide receiver is free to sign wherever he’s offered. With multiple teams rumored to be interested, Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots seem to be doing what they can to sign Beckham Jr.
According to Jordan Schultz, the “Patriots are making a ‘strong push’ to sign OBJ. Belichick wants Beckham on the roster badly.”
Odell Beckham Jr. signing with New England would be a shocking turn of events seeing as how he would be pairing with an unproven rookie QB in Mac Jones and the Patriots team without Tom Brady is not a Super Bowl contender.
Acquiring Beckham Jr. would be massive for New England a sthey are at least looked at as a playoff contender. Having a star receiver like that could be what Mac Jones needs to take another step in his development.
Beckham is said to be focusing on three teams, and the Patriots are not one of them.
