Atlanta Falcons’ rookie running back Bijan Robinson put on quite the highlight reel show for his first career NFL touchdown against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
The Falcons were facing a 3rd-and-4 situation in the red zone to open the second quarter. Desmond Ridder took the snap and threw a short pass to the rookie RB, who humiliated three Carolina defenders en route to the end zone:
That’s quite the first impression to give your fans. Well done, Mr. Robinson.
The Falcons stunned many last year when they used the No. 8 pick on the Texas Longhorns product, even though 2022 rookie RB Tyler Allgeier crossed 1,000 yards rushing last year. But as we saw on Robinson’s first career TD here, it’s obvious that head coach Arthur Smith wants to feature him aplenty as a pass-catcher as well.
