The Eagles have ended the 2023 regular season in dreadful fashion and will be going into the playoffs on the back of a 27-10 loss to the New York Giants.
Apart from having to worry about their shockingly bad form, Philadelphia’s also dealing with several injury worries, with Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Reed Blankenship, and Fletcher Cox all nursing various problems.
After watching them go to the Super Bowl last year and follow that up with a 10-1 run in 2023, hardly anyone would have expected the Eagles to win just one of their last six games and surrender the NFC East to the Dallas Cowboys, yet that’s exactly what happened.
It appears Philly needed “Big Dom” DiSandro way more than they thought. The team’s head of security was tossed from the game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. He was banned from the sideline for the next game before the NFL opted to keep him away for the rest of the regular season and fine him $100,000.
Writer Christian D’Andrea has rightly pointed out that the team’s slump began when Big Dom booted as they went 1-5 thereafter.

Fortunately for the Eagles, DiSandro should be allowed to return to the sideline for the playoffs, so we will have an opportunity to test that theory as early as next week, with the defending NFC champions playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.
