Dom DiSandro became a household name in Philadelphia and beyond after he was struck in the face during a sideline skirmish with Dre Greenlaw during Sunday’s heated Eagles-49ers game.
Big Dom, a constant presence on the Eagles’ sideline and whenever players are out in public, pulled 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw off Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith after he was slammed to the ground after a play. Greenlaw popped up and reached over two officials to touch DiSandro’s face with a closed fist.
Both DiSandro and Greenlaw were ejected from the game, and could face additional penalties from the league.
DiSandro received a standing ovation from fans as he made his way to the locker room.
After the game, Big Dom was shown near the locker room greeting players and had a big message after the loss.
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark posted a video to X with DiSandro welcoming the team and coaches in the Lincoln Financial Field tunnel on their way to the locker. “You know we’ll get them back,” DiSandro said.
