The New England Patriots are headed into their 2nd-straight offseason not knowing who will be the No. 1 QB on the roster.
Last year’s starter, Cam Newton, is not expected back in New England after a less than impressive first year with the team in 2020. The remaining signal callers on the roster are Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer, and neither of them are expected to take the job.
SportsBetting.com released their odds recently of who the Patriots would have as QB during Week 1, and the QB chosen isn’t even on the roster.
The top odds go to Las Vegas Raiders backup quarterback Marcus Mariota at 5/2, with the second-best odds going to Indianapolis Colts backup Jacoby Brissett at 7/2.
Patriots fans are just going to have to deal with reality that this team won’t be competing for much of anything since the departure of Tom Brady.
