As you may have heard in the last 24 hours, Aaron Rodgers reportedly has told multiple people within the Packers organization that he does not want to return to Green Bay. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst told reporters Thursday night the possibility of a trade was “absolutely false.”
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network added that he is so serious about wanting out of Green Bay that he’s willing to retire and give up $23 million. Rodgers would have to repay the Packers $11.5 million each of the next two years if he retires and stays retired.
