The Cincinnati Bengals officially ushered in a new era when they chose Joe Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The team would soon part ways with the former face of the franchise in Andy Dalton and it has John Ross having a big boost of confidence heading into the 2020 NFL season.
The Bengals wide receiver spoke with Bleacher Report’s Scott Polacek, and had an interesting response when asked if he thinks the Bengals make the playoffs:
“Of course. I only say that out of confidence. I believe in where we’re headed as a team with some of the new additions that we have. We’re primed to make a lot of things happen.”
Bengals are fresh off a season where they finished 2-14 in the 2019 season and are in clear rebuild mode. The team made sure to have some weapons surrounding Burrow by tagging wide receiver A.J. Green, drafting Tee Higgins, and added Xavier Su’a.
With Dalton under center, getting to the postseason wasn’t a big issue as they did so for five-straight years from 2011 to 2015. The only problem is that the team couldn’t squeak out one victory. In fact, the last playoff win for the Bengals came way back in 1990.
The Bengals are hoping Burrow can change that.
