Star wide receiver Tee Higgins is looking to get out of Cincinnati.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the wideout has requested a trade from the Bengals and could be playing in another uniform next season, although he loves Cincy and was keen on sticking around.
Of course, trading Higgins is likely to hurt the Bengals, but it was always going to be hard to keep the trio of Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Higgins together.
As such, there has been little traction where the latter’s contract is concerned, and it’s why he’s ready to play elsewhere.
The Bengals placed the franchise tag on Higgins late last month, but it appears he has no intention of playing under it.

The 25-year-old played just 12 games last season due to injury, registering 42 receptions, 656 yards and five touchdowns. He’s gotten past the 1,000-yard mark on two occasions since the Bengals made him the 33rd overall pick in 2020.
Higgins’ four years with the team have been bothered by injuries. While he’s played 58 of a possible 66 games, he has had to leave the field after getting hurt on a few occasions and has never gotten more than 805 snaps in a regular season.
