The Cincinnati Bengals lost an important player to a knee injury during Saturday’s Week 15 clash against the Minnesota Vikings.
Defensive tackle DJ Reader was carted off the field after hurting his right knee in the first quarter. The Paycor Stadium crowd sent him off with an effusive round of applause. He was ruled out shortly after, which suggests his injury is a serious one.
Reader’s loss could really hurt Cincy and they will hope for a positive prognosis as he has been one of their best players on the defensive side of the ball over the last few seasons. He came into Saturday’s game with 34 tackles, seven quarterback hits, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
