Over the last few days, speculation has ramped up about a potential trade involving Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Minny lost Pro Bowl signal-caller Kirk Cousins to free agency, and many think that could discourage Jefferson from wanting to sign a new deal.
On top of that, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported yesterday that Jefferson rejected an extension worth over $30 million annually before last season.
Amid all the Jefferson trade talk, Chase seemingly hinted at the idea of reuniting with his old LSU teammate with this post:

As much as fans would love to see Chase and Jefferson together, it’s highly unlikely that the Bengals would be willing to make such a move work.
They haven’t been able to agree on a new deal with Tee Higgins, who will cost a lot less than Jefferson on his new deal. The usually budget-conscious ownership and front office surely won’t want to pay Jefferson over $30 million annually, especially when they have to pay Chase soon.
That said, the Bengals have to make some moves sooner rather than later. Higgins has requested a trade, and veteran mainstay Tyler Boyd is likely departing in free agency. With two of his top three receivers gone, Joe Burrow will need more help if Cincy is to rebound from a disappointing season.
