No matter which team you cheer for, the entire NFL community is on the same side tonight as we all pray for the health and safety of Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin.
The Buffalo Bills safety was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after he was involved in a violent collision with Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins during the first quarter of tonight’s Bengals-Bills game on Monday Night Football.
Hamlin attempted to get up after the hit, but immediately collapsed to the ground. Medics rushed to his aid and performed CPR during a very frightening scene. Players from both teams looked on in fear as Hamlin had to be intubated on the field.
After sorting things out, the league eventually decided to postpone the game, at which time some of the Bills players left the stadium and made their way over to the hospital. Among them was Bills wideout Stefon Diggs, who was initially stopped by police officers who didn’t know who he was.
Diggs and the Bills players weren’t the only ones showing up to support Damar Hamlin.
