A.J. Green has yet to play a game in 2019, but his name remains a topic of conversation as a player who might get moved to another franchise.
The Bengals star wide receiver recently spoke out about the rumors and he stated he is ready for all potential outcomes as the trade deadline gets closer.
Green, who’s spent his entire career in Cincinnati, says he’s “prepared” for anything, though he hasn’t heard about any trades.
“I’m prepared for anything,” Green told Bengals.com. “A trade’s not going to change who I am. I’m still going to play. I’m still going to be A.J.”
The 31-year-old has been dealing with an ankle injury since July and has already been ruled out this week.
Green, who is in the final year of his four-year, $60 million deal, is second in franchise history in total receptions (602) and receiving yards (8,907) and third in career touchdowns (63).
“I want the team records,” Green told Bengals.com. “I want more Pro Bowls. I want all that so when I leave there is going to be a standard.”
