This is where we are in 2020 right now as we are getting statements from a barber on why he issued a haircut to an NFL player.
Ben Roethlisberger received rave reviews when he was shown with a haircut and trimmed beard after months of growing it out and refusing to cut it until he was able to throw a pass.
Not everybody was thrilled with him getting a haircut, mainly Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf who criticized Big Ben’s trip to Norman’s Cut N’ Edge because Allegheny county is still in the “yellow” phase of reopening, which does not include barbershops and hair salons.
Carlos Norman, the owner of Norman’s Cuttin’ Edge Barber Shop issued a statement regarding the Roethlisberger’s incident.
The statement says the barbershop remains closed and the haircut given to the Steelers QB was merely a “personal favor” and that no cash was received or exchanged for the deed.

Norman’s attorney Marc Kohnen added that the two are close personal friends and that his client’s business was in full compliance of the law and regulations of the state.
The Steelers and Roethlisberger posted a 38-second video that showed him quarterback throwing to his teammates, marking a major milestone in his recovery from September elbow surgery.
