The Steelers have lost consecutive games to Washington and the Buffalo Bills after starting the season 11-0.
They have looked absolutely terrible in those two games and didn’t look any better against a COVID-ravaged Baltimore Ravens prior to that. It has led to the fan base panicking that their once Super Bowl looking team might not be making a deep playoff run as they thought they would be.
It has led to Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger sending a message to his fan base.
“The season’s not over. I want everyone out there to just take a deep breath,” Roethlisberger said. “I know it’s kind of crazy right now, but just take a deep breath. We’ve got time.”
His speech sounds incredibly similar to when Rodgers told Green Bay Packers fans to R-E-L-A-X after the team’s 1-2 start back in 2014. It worked then, so maybe Big Ben is hoping it works now.
