Over the course of the past few months, we have heard numerous people come and speak out against Ben Roethlisberger and how he is on the field as well in the locker room. Nobody’s voice was louder than Antonio Brown who threw multiple shots at his former teammate as he finally got his wish of being traded elsewhere for the 2019 season.
A few months after the fact, Roethlisberger is finally responding back to Brown, but not in the way people thought he would.
The Pittsburgh Steelers QB sat down for an exclusive interview he did with KDKA News, where he apologized for calling out Brown in the press during the season, and said he “genuinely feels bad.”
Big Ben also touched on a topic where he stated he had wished he threw the ball to receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster on a goal-to-go situation against the Denver Broncos in Week 12 instead of AB. He expressed regret for letting that comment come out of his mouth.
If Roethlisberger would’ve expressed this type of self-awareness while Brown was still actively on the team, then just maybe, the trio of Ben-Brown-Bell could be trying for a Super Bowl in 2019.
