As far as NFL preseason games go, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks delivered quite the doozy on Saturday, as a touchdown from Kenny Pickett to Tyler Vaughns with three second left broke the deadlock and gave the boys in black and yellow a 32-25 victory.
All three of the Steelers’ quarterbacks — Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph and Pickett — had impressive outings and produced a touchdown through the air. Their joint performance was even enough to earn some props from the team’s last starting quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger.
The two-time Super Bowl champ took to Twitter following the game to praise all three QBs for a job well done.
“All 3 QBs looking good,” Big Ben wrote, as he was sure to include Mason Rudolph in order to avoid anymore drama between the two former teammates.
Trubisky finished the game with four completions on seven attempts for 63 yards and a touchdown. Rudolph completed 9-of-15 attempts for 93 yards and a score, while Pickett impressed the most with his stat line, which read 13-of-15 for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
This was obviously good to see for Big Ben and the rest of the Steelers fans, as word out of camp suggested that their quarterbacks had been struggling for the most part.
