By the time the 2020 NFL season comes around, there might not be enough players to field a team as more and more players continue to opt out of the upcoming season due to the global pandemic.
The Chicago Bears are really feeling the pain after Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Bears DT Eddie Goldman has informed the team he plans to opt out due to health concerns related to COVID-19.
Mike Garafolo notes that Goldman was owed $4.75 million fully guaranteed for the 2020 season, which will now be pushed to 2021.
The 29-year-old appeared in 15 games for the Bears and recorded 29 tackles and a sack.
