Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields found a hilarious way to answer a reporter’s question about the finger injury he suffered in Sunday’s afternoon tilt against the Detroit Lions.
Fans on social media noticed that Fields had a bleeding nail on his middle finger during the contest. When a reporter asked Fields about it after the game, the third-year QB was sure not to “flip the bird” to anyone:
Fields completed 16 of 23 pass attempts for 169 yards and a touchdown to go along with a game-high 104 rushing yards. The Bears were oh-so-close to upsetting the Lions, but the defense allowed two late touchdowns in a 31-26 defeat.
Chicago will visit the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football next week.
