The Chicago Bears entered today’s game with a 3-10 record. They are taking on the 12-1 Eagles at home. With nothing to lose, you’d think they would be willing to take some chances in order to pull off the upset in front of their own fans…
Or maybe not.
With a 6-3 lead late in the first half, the Bears were faced with a 4th & 27 from the Eagles 31-yard line. They actually began the drive on the Eagles’ 25-yard line after picking off Jalen Hurts, but they went the wrong way and were now looking at a possible 48-yard field-goal attempt.
You’d think they would want to try and come away from this drive with at least three points, but… NOPE!
In what’s being described as the “biggest coward move” by some, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus elected to punt the ball instead of attempting the field-goal.

Needless to say, Twitter was not impressed with the decision. And rightfully so—although, I guess that’s the type of decision you’d expect from a bottom-feeder like the Bears.
