For the first time since 1947, the historic Chicago Bears franchise will hold the first overall pick in the NFL Draft.
The Bears lost 29-13 to the Minnesota Vikings to clinch a 3-14 record. The Houston Texans’ thrilling last-minute victory over the Indianapolis Colts helped Chicago lock up the first overall pick, while Houston (3-13-1) falls to No. 2.
A video shared by Jordan Lazowski shows just how many Bears fans were watching (and celebrating) when they watched their team officially clinch the first overall pick. Let’s just say this is one awesome way to celebrate when your team finishes 32nd in the final standings.
In the last minute of the Texans-Colts game, Davis Mills completed a 28-yard touchdown to Jordan Akins. The latter then caught the two-point conversion pass attempt from Mills to put the Texans up 32-31, and the defense held on for a 32-31 victory.
The Bears are officially on the clock.
