Chicago Bears fans have truly had enough.
The Bears’ 17-16 loss to the Chargers on Sunday came down to kicker Eddy Pineiro’s missed 41-yard field-goal attempt, but fans aren’t so much blaming him as they are blaming the quarterback position.
Trubisky’s two fourth-quarter turnovers made it really hard for the team to win and it showed by the time the game was over.
“It’s a gut check,” Trubisky said. “It’s who’s going to rise up to the challenge this week, who’s going to continue to work hard and stick together when we’re going through adversity. And you’ve got to embrace it. … It’s never too late. We can definitely turn it around.”
After the game, a Bears fan showed his frustration with Trubisky by burning two of his jerseys.
The loss dropped the Bears to under .500 at 3-4 and in dead last in the NFC North.
