Spelling players’ names on their jerseys shouldn’t be a thing since Google exists and everything should be checked numerous times before it gets sent out.
Unfortunately, one Chicago Bears player had to play today’s game with his name misspelled. Bears running back David Montgomery has his last name spelled wrong on the back of his jersey on Sunday.
They misspelled his last name “Montgomery,” spelling it “Montogomery,” on the back of his jersey.
Coming into the contest, Montgomery had rushed for 159 yards on 35 carries in three games for the 2-2 Bears.
The 25-year-old running back missed the team’s last game (a 20-12 loss to the Giants) due to an ankle injury. In his place, second-year back Khalil Herbert rushed for 77 yards on 19 carries.
