All teams are well aware that the Chicago Bears do not want to pick anybody with the No. 1 overall draft pick, so they have been calling them about compensation that they are asking for to unload that pick.
The Chicago Bears won’t draft No. 1 overall, and it appears they have a team that is willing to give them what they want in a deal for it.
“A deal is close and in the final stages. @richeisen said the following today: “The Bears are long down the road to trading the first overall pick. Teams have been identified, compensation is being hammered out,” Ben Devine tweeted on Monday.
Eisen also said that Chicago general manager Ryan Poles is “playing this thing like a virtuoso so far.”
During the NFL Scouting Combine broadcast, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said the interest for the No. 1 pick is “significant,” which has been bolstered by a number of quarterback performances at the combine. The top names in the draft are Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, and Will Levis.

The Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers and the Las Vegas Raiders figure to be one of those teams ironing out a deal for that pick.
