As they try to sort through the Lamar Jackson trade request dilemma, the Baltimore Ravens are reportedly eyeing three big-named receivers.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Ravens have “looked into” free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Arizona Cardinals’ star DeAndre Hopkins as well as Denver Broncos’ receiver Courtland Sutton:
“The Ravens have been fairly active in the wide receiver market. As Dan mentioned above, they’ve looked into Beckham. I’ve heard the same for DeAndre Hopkins and Courtland Sutton. They seem open to potentially adding a quality outside receiver, whether Jackson is in the lineup or not.”
Beckham suffered an ACL tear in the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl 56 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals. Beckham spent most of the year recovering but received a clearance to return to football in November.
But the three-time Pro Bowler never wound up signing with another team for the final stretch of 2022. More than two weeks after free agency opened, OBJ remains unsigned.
Hopkins and Sutton, along with the latter’s teammate in Jerry Jeudy, have frequently popped up in trade rumors. New Broncos’ head coach Sean Payton recently stated, however, that the club isn’t trading Sutton or Jeudy.

The Ravens unquestionably need help at wide receiver, as they’ve been overly reliant on star tight end Mark Andrews in the passing game. After Andrews, Demarcus Robinson was the club’s leading receiver with 458 yards.
Earlier this week, Jackson announced in a Twitter thread that he has requested a trade from the Ravens. Baltimore placed the franchise tag on Jackson, thus preventing him from entering the free agent market.
If a team signs Jackson to an offer sheet, the Ravens would have five days to match. Otherwise, the club will receive a pair of first-round draft picks as compensation for the 2019 league MVP.
