The Baltimore Ravens are in the middle of a very productive season. Despite being second in the AFC North, they are 8-5 and primed to make the postseason. They’ve also worked to bolster their roster, which included trading for wide receiver Diontae Johnson.
However, it appears the trade is quickly turning into a blemish on the season, as the team had to suspend Johnson for one game due to “conduct detrimental to the team.”
“We have made the difficult decision to suspend Diontae Johnson for our upcoming game against the New York Giants for conduct detrimental to the team,” GM Eric DeCosta said in a statement. “Diontae’s suspension stems from refusing to enter our game against the Philadelphia Eagles. We will have no further comments on this matter going forward.”

This ‘conduct’ is reportedly Johnson’s refusal to attend the Ravens’ game last week, when they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Of course, the score ended at 19-24, as the offense struggled to get into any real rhythm, and having a receiver like Johnson in the game can change everything.
Luckily for Ravens fans, the game he is missing is against the New York Giants, who, at 2-10, have rarely shown the ability to stay competitive through four consecutive quarters.

Diontae Johnson Has Had Almost No Production With The Ravens
When Baltimore traded for Johnson, it was believed he could come in and immediately elevate their passing game.
That couldn’t be further from reality, as he has had almost no impact in his five games with the team.
Johnson has recorded just five targets, one receptions, and six yards.
He’ll be a free agent at the end of the season and has not put himself in a position to win a big contract.
