The Baltimore Ravens are coming into their Divisional round game against the Houston Texans with some extra added firepower.
Just weeks after signing with the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, veteran running back Dalvin Cook is expected to be active for the team’s AFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans on Saturday.
The Ravens signed Dalvin Cook to their 53-man roster.
Cook signed with the practice squad on January 4th after the New York Jets waived him.
The four-time Pro Bowler now joins the rotation of Gus Edwards and Justice Hill.
The transaction comes following the team’s decision to waive Melvin Gordon on Wednesday.

From 2019 to 2022, Cook rushed for at least 1,100 yards in four straight seasons, and he was named to the Pro Bowl each time. In 15 games with the Jets this year, Cook had 214 rushing yards on 67 attempts. He also had 15 receptions for 78 yards.
With a blowout 56-19 win over the Miami Dolphins at M&T Bank Stadium in the regular season, the Ravens won the AFC North and clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC, earning a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
