Roquan Smith has had quite the week and it will continue with a big matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Paycor Stadium.
The tensions between the two teams were already there with them being division rivals, but it increased when the Bengals accused the Ravens of dirty play during their matchup in Week 18.
Per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith had one simple thing to say to the Bengals on that front:
“See you Sunday,” Smith said with a smile.
The Athletic’s Jay Morrison reported that Bengals defensive players were “irate” with the Ravens offense. Defensive tackle DJ Reader claimed they did “some s— I don’t agree with,” and cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt said “we owe them.”
“It was a lot of late stuff,” Taylor-Britt said. “Just after the play, doing dirty stuff you shouldn’t do in football. Aiming at guys’ legs and stuff and other dirty hits. We don’t play like that. We’re gonna remember that.”

Sunday just might be a very nasty game down in the trenches.
Roquan has extra added motivation after he signed his new deal is five years worth a reported $100 million. The new contract makes Smith the highest-paid off-ball linebacker in the league.
Since joining the Ravens from a trade with the Chicago Bears, Smith has 86 tackles, two sacks and one interception. He finished the regular season with 169 tackles which rank him third in the league and was selected to his first Pro Bowl. He has single handily changed the direction of the entire Ravens defense with his presence.
