More roster moves were made on Wednesday, with the Baltimore Ravens making a significant move.
On Wednesday, the Ravens announced that they have signed wide receiver Dan Chisena to their practice squad but they also released third-year running back Jake Funk.
“We have signed WR Dan Chisena to the Practice Squad and released RB Jake Funk,” the team announced.
During the 2023 season, Funk played in four games for the Indianapolis Colts and racked up 38 snaps between offense and special teams. He has three touches for 22 yards on the season.
Funk was added to Baltimore’s practice squad last month when Keaton Mitchell was placed on injured reserve after suffering a ruptured ACL. The addition of fellow running back Dalvin Cook made his spot expendable.
Over four games with the Cardinals this season, Chisena played almost exclusively on special teams. He has appeared in 31 NFL games as a special-teams contributor, and will look to find the field once more in a new setting.

The Baltimore Ravens rang in the new year with a golden playoff ticket in hand as the top seed in the AFC. Now, the team is enjoying a week of extra rest and home-field advantage in any games they play in the lead-up to the Super Bowl.
They will take on the lowest seed to advance from the Wild card round.
