The Baltimore Ravens’ offense may get a significant boost for Saturday’s Divisional Round contest against the Houston Texans.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Ravens shared their updated injury report ahead of Saturday’s home tilt with the C.J. Stroud-led Texans. Tight end Mark Andrews, limited on Tuesday, was a full participant in today’s practice:
Andrews has been sidelined for two months, having suffered an ankle injury in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals on “Thursday Night Football”. Andrews underwent surgery and was expected to miss the remainder of the season, but it looks like the three-time Pro Bowler might end up returning much earlier than expected.
In 10 games during the regular season, Andrews had 45 receptions for 544 yards and six touchdowns. Despite his absence for the final six games, the Ravens finished with football’s best record at 14-3.
Andrews was also inactive for the Ravens-Texans game back in Week 1, a 25-9 Baltimore victory at M&T Bank Stadium. The Texans are coming off a 45-14 blowout win over the Cleveland Browns on Super Wild Card Weekend.
Drafted in the third round (86th overall) by the Ravens in 2018, the 28-year-old Andrews has emerged as one of the best tight ends in football. The Oklahoma product exceeded the 50-catch and 700-yard marks in four straight years from 2019 to 2022, including a career-best 1,361 receiving yards in 2021.
