Just when you thought the 4-4 Cleveland Browns who currently sit in last place in the AFC North couldn’t get any worse, they now have to deal with some off the field drama.
Following what was arguably the most frustrating game in Beckham Jr.’s Browns tenure that resulted in one catch for six yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers, his father, Odell Beckham Sr., took to his own verified Instagram account to vent his frustrations toward Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.
The video reposted by Beckham Sr. highlighted multiple in-game miscues where Mayfield outright misses Odell on the field or just chose not to target him at all. He was targeted just twice on Sunday. The video appeared to be clipped from nearly all the games Beckham Jr. has played this season since returning from a knee injury.
Mayfield’s wife, Emily, has now entered into the drama by taking to social media and ‘liking’ messages of fans coming to the defense of Baker and placing the blame on other Browns players.
One of the many tweets highlights the Browns and Chargers that suggested Cleveland is failing their QB while Los Angeles is doing the complete opposite with Justin Herbert.
Beckham Sr. has defended his son in the past when he criticized New York Giants owner John Mara months prior to his son being traded to the Browns.

All of the drama has done nothing but fuel the notion that Cleveland should trade Beckham Jr. at Tuesday’s deadline, but nothing ever happened.
So now the team needs to figure it out on the field before this season gets lost.
Beckham has just 114 catches for 1,586 yards and seven touchdowns in 29 games with the Browns, averaging 13.9 yards per catch.
